Mina Nur Basmaci

Mina Nur Basmaci is a 2025 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where she specialized in international and comparative law. She is interested in the intersection of national security, human rights, and international law. In law school, Mina served as Co-Chair of the Crimes Against Humanity Initiative and represented WashU Law and the United States in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, where her team won the 2025 national championship and she was individually recognized as the second best oralist in the 2024 international rounds. Mina has experience supporting the United Nations, the United States Agency for International Development, the Center for Civilians in Conflict, and a boutique sanctions firm. She is originally from Istanbul, Türkiye.
