Gabriela Saba

Gabriela Saba holds an M.A. in Arab Studies from Georgetown University, where her graduate thesis examined collective memory, sectarianism, and political belonging among Rūm Orthodox Christian communities through ethnographic fieldwork and oral history research conducted in Lebanon. Her research sits at the intersection of trauma and memory studies, minority politics, gender studies, and alternative forms of knowledge production in MENA historiography. Her professional background spans foreign policy research, advocacy, and international development, including work with D.C. think tanks, international NGOs, and UN-affiliated projects focused on gender equality and social inclusion. She is passionate about community-focused advocacy that centers Arab and other historically marginalized communities across policy and academic spaces.
